ARTICLES   of   The Kula Magazine
  From The Editor :

Living on the East Coast of the United States winter for me means staying inside more than usual. - My gardens which cover my entire yard are sleeping for the winter and I am busy working on inside projects and trying to keep warm. - I've taken up painting with "acrylics" making my masterpieces of abstract art which to a trained eye may be more sophomoric but for me it doesn't matter if anyone likes them, it really doesn't matter if when done I want to look at them, its the process that matters to me - the human desire to express and unfold.

The Kula Magazine has been busy making changes in its format, gaining new readers as well as new writers. You may notice in this issue older articles can be read from links from the bottom of this main article linking page. The older articles open into new browsers, which you can close after reading and still be in the main section of the magazine. In future months we may change this to make it easier to read when we figure out better ways to keep the magazine updated efficiently.

The next new full issue of The Kula Magazine will be out for February, If you have an article you would like to offer to submit for that issue please do so soon.  This current issue will stay up till that new issue is published and the extra time we have in not creating a full update for January will be spent better linking the magazines pages and creating a wider reader base with advertising promotions we are working on as well as a short vacation away.

If you enjoy my "letters from the editor" you will be happy to note in January I will update this "letter" to tell you of any new changes we are working on for the newer issue.

        Happy Holidays
              Keith

If you have thoughts or ideas as to what you would like to see The Kula Magazine do or expand with please let us know. We are open to any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and look forward to offering more opportunities to share in community.

The main concept of this magazine is an outpouring from my own healing practice and is not meant as a business venture in the traditional sense. Though with that said we do appreciate new advertisers and sponsors as well as holistic providers to help with the costs and time involved with bringing this “grass roots” venture together. The more money we raise the more we can afford to advertise and build the magazine to what I see in my minds eye as the purpose of it.

I would like at some point to be able to create a “Kula Fund” to help foster those in the holistic fields in many ways including in furthering education and resources for those struggling to raise their vibratory rates to become better healers, after all in my personal opinion being human itself is being a healing force of life. There are many out there that are gifted “if you need a title”, yet still in situations where those around them cannot comprehend the sensibilities of those “gifts”. Due to that fact, those “gifted” people experience hardship that they often need a hand in overcoming.

The “mental health field” itself can be an area of extreme danger for some highly sensitive individuals, often being misunderstood and diagnosed for things other than just being more aware than those doing the diagnosing. We need to foster more support and create more understanding of those issues and separate religious confusion from psychological confusion and have the senses that our higher power has bestowed upon us as a race of LIFE.

We greatly appreciate the people that are spreading the word about The Kula Magazine, from those putting links to it in their own web sites or personal blogs to emailing their friends about us. We have heard back from people about the magazine being mentioned in various radio programs related to the holistic fields, and have heard its spirit has been helping the readers to better understand and learn, but also the writers themselves have been sharing personal stories with me of learning and healing from their own contributions of articles and experience with The Kula Family.

I thank you for helping my vision become clearer.

We in no way believe that Proper Traditional Medical guidance should be overlooked when taking care of ones health. A healthy empowering relationship with the traditional medical establishment, with the doctors and nurses you have researched and gained trust in is of utmost importance.

Namaste literally means "I humbly bow to you," from the Sanskrit: Namas: "to bow, obeisance, reverential salutation", and Te: "to you". It is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with the hands pressed together, palms touching, in front of the chest.
In a religious context this word can be taken to mean any of these:
The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you
I salute the divine in you
I bring together my body and soul, focusing my divine potential, and bow to the same potential within you.
In other words, it recognizes the equality of all, and pays honor to the sacredness of all
